At it again, the tear down before the new reno!!! (they call it reno instead of renovation in Australia, I like the nickname!)

Newest House Reno

When we arrived home from Australia, within minutes of being into out home, we noticed mushrooms growing out of the carpet. Just a few hours later, carpet, wall and tile were ripped up, and we got site of the water damage. Over the next few months, we tore out walls and replaced surfaces - trying to fix and improve upon our house on little money.

New Dynamics

I just heard a statistic on CNN - since December of 2007 - 80 % of the jobs that have been lost have been men.

They say that male dominated industries, like construction, etc..are more deeply affected. Looks like we can affect home dynamics to shift a bit moving forward.

Protest!

Here are some links of my brother protesting - and a news article that mentions his efforts. Though his passion often worries me, I am proud of the selfless effort and incredible time and resource he dedicates to community activism.

Here is a link to a Seattle News Broadcast regarding the closure of 5 Seattle schools - and also a link to a newspaper article on the same topic. My brother is featured in both.

And here is a link to a YouTube Video of protest in Seattle about the occupation of Gaza - I thought it was a rather innovative approach to protest....
